Meet The Baker

Lisa loves the smell of coffee in the morning and loves spending time with her friends and family (especially her nephews & niece). She is an avid traveler and has been known to plan activities around culinary experiences.

After spending over a decade in corporate finance roles, Lisa has made the leap into the world of baking, and thus, Soo Bao is born. Her love for baking started at an early age and has flourished in recent years. Owning a bakery has always been a dream of hers and your purchase is helping make that dream come true!

As a daughter of immigrants, Lisa’s love language is obviously food. She believes the best way to celebrate life’s moments is with a sweet treat – and sometimes, “just a cookie” is exactly what’s needed to make a shitty day a little less shitty.

All her cookies are handmade in small batches with a generous amount of butter and a dash of love.

Fun Fact – The name “Soo Bao” is a nod to Lisa’s background - a blend between English and Chinese. “Soo” (pronounced “so”) is a drawn-out version of the English word “so”, meaning too/very, while “Bao” means “to be stuffed/full” in Chinese. At Soo Bao, you can never be too bao for a cookie!
